Dear SMB Colleagues,
Mathematics at the University of Dundee has played a not insignificant role in mathematical biology and SMB over the past 30 years or so. The first ever annual SMB meeting outside of North America was held in Dundee in 2003 and the Division of Mathematics has (directly or indirectly) supplied three past presidents (Chaplain, Anderson, Enderling)...
Unfortunately, degree programmes in mathematics and mathematical biology at Dundee are now under serious threat of closure and there is also the threat of faculty job losses.
Please consider signing an open letter in support of the staff in the Mathematics Division at the University of Dundee, some of whose jobs are under threat, as well as the threat of de facto shutting down the undergraduate maths degree programme.
The open letter can be found here:

Many thanks in advance for your time and support,
Mark Chaplain, SMB past-President
P.S. please also share widely if you can
