Reaction Networks

Reaction Networks Subgroup aims to foster collaboration among SMB members interested in the topic, advance both theoretical and applied research, and strengthen communication across the field.

The subgroup brings together scientists who study the mathematical theory and applications of reaction networks, encompassing both stochastic and deterministic frameworks. These applications range from chemical reaction computing and cellular dynamics to population-level processes.

A central focus of the RN Subgroup is understanding how specific structural features give rise to particular dynamical behaviors and, conversely, how observed dynamics can reveal underlying network structure. Together, the subgroup’s work highlights the richness and interdisciplinary nature of contemporary reaction networks research.
