Postdoctoral Research Associate in “Stochastic Modelling of
Intracellular Reaction Systems in Crowded Conditions” at the University
of Edinburgh, UK. An exciting interdisciplinary research opportunity has
arisen as a collaboration between the groups of Prof Guido Sanguinetti
(Informatics) and Dr Ramon Grima (Biological Sciences). Applications are
invited for a three-years postdoctoral research associate position on
the Leverhulme Trust funded project “Stochastic reactions in crowded
cells: theories, inference and applications”. The project aims at
producing novel breakthroughs in our understanding of biochemical
reactions within the crowded cellular environment; it will do so by
developing novel statistical and mathematical tools blending techniques
from machine learning and stochastic processes. For any enquiries please
email ramon.grima@ed.ac.uk or gsanguin@staffmail.ed.ac.uk. Apply via
www.vacancies.ed.ac.uk/pls/corehrrecruit/erq_search_version_4.search_form
The vacancy reference number is 046700 and the closing date is 26
February.
