While the SMB strives to connect and represent mathematical biologists worldwide, there are quite a few regional or national societies for mathematical and/or theoretical biology. SMB members who reside in, or plan to visit, a specific geographical area, may be interested in information about local biomath activities. I have asked members of several regional/national societies to write us about their societies' activities, or at least send basic contact information. The responses are enclosed below, starting with Canada, where our web page is based, and moving eastwards around the globe.

We have reports from:

  • The Canadian Society for Theoretical Biology (CSTB)
  • European Society for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology (ESMTB)
  • The Israeli Society for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology (ISMTB)
  • Current Board Members of the Japanese Association for Mathematical Biology
