2022 Human Frontier Science Program for Applicants Who Hold a Doctoral Degree From Outside the Life Sciences Award ($202,956+ award, Letter of Intent deadline May 26th, 2021). The Cross-Disciplinary Fellowship is unique to the Human Frontier Science Program. It supports non-biologists to bring their skills and methodologies to research that elucidates the sophisticated and complex mechanisms of life. HFSP funds only basic research. Initiation of a Letter of Intent by 1 pm (Eastern Time US) by May 26, 2021.
2022 Long-Term Fellowships for Applicants Who Hold a Doctoral Degree From the Life Sciences ($202,956+ award, Letter of Intent deadline May 26th, 2021). The HFSP fellowship program supports proposals for frontier, potentially transformative research in the life sciences. Applications for high-risk projects are particularly encouraged. The projects should be interdisciplinary in nature and should challenge existing paradigms by using novel approaches and techniques. Scientifically, they should address an important problem or a barrier to progress in the field. HFSP funds only basic research. HFSP postdoctoral fellowships encourage early career scientists to broaden their research skills by moving into new areas of study while working in a new country. Long-Term Fellowships (LTF) are for applicants with a PhD in a biological discipline, who will broaden their expertise by proposing a project in the life sciences which is significantly different from their previous PhD or postdoctoral work. Initiation of a Letter of Intent by 1 pm (Eastern Time US) by May 26, 2021.
