Networking and Mentoring at the Annual Meeting

The Society for Mathematical Biology recognizes the importance of mentoring in the development of a successful career in mathematical biology. The Society offers a pre-conference career workshop and mentoring program for the benefit of junior scientists attending its annual meetings. The goal of this program is:

  • Provide information and one-to-one advice to help you with every aspect of managing your career.
  • To optimize the educational and professional experience of mentees attending the conference.
  • To assist the mentees’ socialization into the field of mathematical biology.

Junior scientists attending to the annual meeting are strongly encourage to register for the preconference workshop. Anyone attending the annual meeting can sign up, either as a mentee, a mentor, or both. You can learn more about our mentorship program page.
